Comment Spam Thinks “I Rock”

William Gadea 10.14.2010

Comment spam. Every blogger hates it.

The problem is all the SEO bots that plague WordPress blogs like this one, with cheap comment spam full of back-links to their clients. It doesn’t matter what the comment says, as long as the moderator approves it, and the link gets on the page. So obviously the comments are wildly laudatory and unvaryingly vague.

I’ve been doing a lot of comment-zapping lately, but I couldn’t bring myself to lose this one:

“Thank you for give very good knowledges. Your website is very good. I am impressed by the information that you have on this blog. It shows how well you understand this subject. Bookmarked this page, will come back for more.

You, my friend, ROCK! I found just the information I already searched everywhere and just couldn’t find. What a perfect site. Like this website your website is one of my new favs.

I like this information presented and it has given me some sort of commitment to succeed for some reason, so thanks.”

Even though spam bogs me down, it’s nice to know that someone thinks I’m doing something right. You’re welcome, comment spam. I’ll keep the hits coming.
