Our Video Production Retainer Model
Orbiter is a standing video program, not a patchwork of projects. Because we’re always on, we get sharper on your brand, your products, and the way you work with every cycle – you skip the start-from-scratch tax you pay briefing a fresh vendor each time. A monthly retainer gives you a set number of credits, usable anytime in the quarter – or rolled over to the next. Need burst capacity? Additional credits are available at the same per-credit price.

If you’ve got an in-house team you’re happy with, great – Orbiter makes it better. We can extend your reach and complement your strengths. We add bandwidth when the work piles up, bring techniques and tools your team doesn’t have to specialize in, and scale with you through the busy stretches. Your team stays at the center; Orbiter gives it more range and more room to do its best work.
The full range: 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, whiteboard, live action, and AI-generated video. We create both customer-facing and employee-facing communications. Part of the point of a retainer is that you’re not locked into one studio’s one specialty. You draw on whatever your needs call for.
It depends on scope and technique, but because you’re on retainer you’re never starting cold – we already know your brand, so the briefing-and-onboarding lag that eats the front of a typical project is mostly gone. As artists, we like to lavish love on a piece for weeks, but we’re up for fire drills too.
We’re AI-fluent across the whole production pipeline, even providing fully AI-generated video when the brief calls for it. We treat AI as a tool, not a gimmick. Used well, it widens the range of what’s affordable: more concepts to test, faster iterations, and techniques that used to be out of reach on a normal budget. Used badly, it looks like everyone else’s slop. The difference is the human creative judgment layered over it.
Contracts can be cancelled, with 30 days notice, at the end of each quarter – so three months is the minimum commitment.
